*The first two World Cup championships for women’s cricket was did not have a “final.” Rather, they were based on a points system and the team with the most points won the World Cup.

**These are the only two years when the”Player of the Final” award was granted to a member of the losing side. As such, the award recipients’ respective teams are specifically indicated in abbreviated form only for these years.

***Because the first two World Cup championships did not have a “final” as noted above, there was no “Player of the Final” award in 1973 and 1978. Additionally, the award itself was only introduced in 1993. Therefore, this award was nonexistent in the 1982 and 1988 World Cup championships as well.

****The “Player of the Series” award was only introduced in 1988. It was then suspended and was not reintroduced until the 2000 World Cup. Thus, the “N/A” in years prior to 1988, and in 1993 and 1997.

*****The current World Cup (2022) was to be held in 2021, but was postponed to 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
