  • In April 2018, the International Cricket Council (ICC) announced that the ICC Champions Trophy is scrapped in favor of switching to a T20 World Cup. Part of the reason the trophy was scrapped may have been due to pressure from players concerning the toll the heavy cricketing\/travel schedule had on players and their families together with the decreasing popularity of the tournament<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
